Nuapada assembly by-election: Final electoral roll of to be published on October 9

Bhubaneswar: The final electoral roll of the Nuapada assembly constituency will be published on October 9, informed Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Odisha R S Gopalan today.

Notably, the by-poll in Nuapada assembly constituency was necessitated following the untimely death of sitting MLA Rajenda Dholakia, who died on September 8.

According to the Gopalan, filing of claims and objections which has already started from yesterday (Monday) will continue till September 29, 2025. While the claims will be resolved on October 7, the final voter list will be published on October 9, he added.

The CEO further said that there are a total of 358 polling stations in Nuapada assembly constituency, out of which 36 are in urban areas and 322 are in rural areas.

The total number of voters is 2,48,256. Out of which, 1,22,103 are male, 1,26,132 are female and 21 are third gender voters. There are 2007 senior citizen voters and 6003 youth voters. Besides, this voters’ list includes 4000 differently-abled persons.
