Music Director Abhijit Majumdar Remains Critical at AIIMS Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Renowned Odia music director Abhijit Majumdar continues to remain in a critical condition, with no significant improvement in his health, AIIMS Bhubaneswar informed on Saturday. He is currently on ventilator support in the hospital’s central ICU.

Majumdar, who has been battling liver-related complications, was shifted to AIIMS about 10 days ago from a private hospital in Cuttack after his condition worsened. He was brought to the premier institute in an ambulance with ventilator support.

On admission, doctors found that he had low sodium levels in the brain and was experiencing severe breathing difficulties. He initially received treatment at the trauma centre before being moved to the ICU for specialised care.

Hospital authorities said his condition continues to be a cause for concern, and he remains under strict medical supervision.
