Man sexually assaults and impregnates minor daughter

Dhenkanal: In a shocking and tragic incident, a man had sexually assaulted and impregnated his own minor daughter. The incident happened in the area under Kankadahad police station in Dhenkanal district.

According to information, while the minor girl was sleeping, the man forced himself on her and sexually assaulted her. He further threatened to kill her if she revealed about the incident.

The girl then conceived and is three months’ pregnant now. The minor girl however, gained confidence and lodged a police complaint with the Kankadahad police on Friday. Her father is now absconding to escape from getting caught.

Based on the complaint lodged by the girl, a case has been registered under 194 O U/s64 (a), (f)/351(2), BNS/sec 6 (POCSO) 2012. The minor girl has been sent for medical examination.

On the otherhand, police have launched a manhunt to nab the accused father in the minor girl sexual assault case. This incident has sent shock waves in the entire state.

A special team of police has been constituted to investigate and nab the barbaric father.

In another incident, a minor girl was sexually assaulted by a group of men in Malkangiri on July 21. The girl was subjected to sexual assault by a truck driver at an isolated spot.

The police later arrested as many as four people in the minor girl sexual assault in Malkangiri.
