174 cows rescued while being illegally transported in Keonjhar

Keonjhar/Bhadrak: In a major success in case of illegal cattle transport, the Keonjhar Special Squad team has seized 174 cows from two pick up vans in Keonjhar district of Odisha.
According to reports, two pickup vans and a Creta car have also been seized. The police raided an illegal cattle trade near Tukuna haat under the Ghasipura police station limits. The police have detained 11 people in the incident and are investigating into the matter. They are trying to find where the illegal cattle transport was being done.
On the other hand, a pick-up van carrying beef seized near a major intersection on National Highway No. 16 has been seized. As many as four people have been detained and were involved in the illegal trade. They have been detained at the police station. The Bhadrak Rural Police is investigating further into the matter.
It is further worth mentioning that, the pick up van was stopped by the locals while on their way from Balasore district to the capital city of Bhubaneswar. Further detailed reports awaited in this regard.
