Bomb blast in Bhubaneswar’s Bharatpur

Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, bomb blast occurred in Bhubaneswar’s Phuleswari Basti (slum) under Bharatpur police station in Odisha. The incident happened late on Friday night.

According to information, the locals were startled to a loud noise which was in reality a bomb blast. Following the blasts, people were terrorised and tension flared up in the regions. The police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.

The reason behind the bombings were attributed to previous rivalry, however, nothing has been ascertained as yet.

In the recent past, in Bharatpur’s Panda Kudia basti, bombings were reported. Similar bomb explosions in the Bharatpur area has put the Police at their wits end.

Similarly, a bomb was allegedly hurled at Winner club in Sahidnagar area in Bhubaneswar in November. In the incident two people including the master mind have been detained by the police.
