Heavy Rain Alert in Odisha, IMD Issues Orange Warning for 5 Districts

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is set to experience a wet and stormy day today with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting heavy rain and thunderstorms across the state.

An Orange warning has been issued for Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, and Cuttack, where heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected. The IMD has advised residents in these districts to remain alert and take necessary precautions to ensure safety.

In addition, a Yellow warning has been declared for Puri, Khurda, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Bargarh, Sambalpur, and Dhenkanal, cautioning people about the likelihood of moderate rainfall and thundershowers.

Scattered thundershowers with light rain are also expected in several other parts of the state. Citizens have been urged to stay updated with the latest forecasts and advisories while planning their daily activities.
