12 cows rescued from illegal transportation

Bhadrak: While cows were being illegally transported in a vehicle, people stopped the vehicle and rescued as many as 12 cows in Bhadrak district of Odisha recently. The incident took place on the National highway no. 16 near Nalang.

As per reports, upon receiving a tip-off, local Go-sevaks intercepted the cow-laden vehicle near a petrol pump at Nalang Chhack and rescued 12 cows that were being illegally transported.

The mob, enraged by the illegal transportation, allegedly torched the vehicle, creating tension at the scene.

Getting information about it, the rural police and fire brigade quickly arrived at the scene. The fire brigade doused the flames.

Further probe of the matter is underway while traffic has got normalised on this road.
