8-Year-Old Boy Allegedly Kidnapped in Bhubaneswar’s Sailashree Vihar

Bhubaneswar: Panic spread in Sailashree Vihar on Thursday evening after an 8-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped while returning home from tuition classes. The child’s family lodged a complaint at Chandrasekharpur Police Station, following which police launched a probe.

Sources said the boy had gone for his regular tuition but did not return at the usual time. His family members searched the locality and later suspected that he had been abducted. They immediately approached the police, who registered a case and initiated an investigation.

Two special teams of Chandrasekharpur police have been formed to trace the missing child. Police confirmed that no ransom call has been received so far.

The incident has triggered concerns over children’s safety in the residential area. Shocked locals have urged authorities to increase patrolling, especially during evening hours.

Police officials assured that all possible measures are being taken to rescue the boy safely and bring the culprits to book.
