77th foundation day of Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A special parade was held in the Lok Seva Bhawan marg on the occasion of the 77th foundation day of Bhubaneswar. Along with the Police department, students of several educational institutions participated in the parade.

Odisha Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy graced the event as the Chief Guest and spoke at the outset. MLA Susanta Rout, MLA Anant Narayan Jen, Mayor Sulochana Das alongwith Police Commissioner Suresh Dev Datta Singh were also present.

For the celebration of 77th foundation day of Bhubaneswar, 13 eminent personalities will be awarded with the Capital glory award in the evening.

On April 13, 1948, Bhubaneswar was established as the capital city of Odisha. Bhubaneswar has transcended as a cultural heritage and urban development centre over the years. After the parade, the Chief Guest and other guests gave their speech. A photo gallery was inaugurated at the Jaydev Bhawan.
