40 kg laddu being prepared in Talcher

Talcher: A huge laddu weighing 40 kg is being prepared in Talcher of Odisha. The laddu will be offered to Lord Ganesha.

As per reports, about 25 cooks have been engaged in the making of this gigantica laddu. Besan, ghee along with cashews, raisins, pistachios, almonds, keshar and rose water are used in the preparation of this laddu. The preparation of this laddu has been going on for 4 days and its auction will be called this evening.

Last year, a laddu weighing 35 quintals was auctioned during the famous Talcher Ganesh Puja. It was auctioned for Rs. 19 lakh 50 thousand. The Talcher TSS Group of Institutions had took the auction while such a big laddu and auction for such a large amount created a record in the whole country.

This year, the Talcher Central Ganesh Puja Committee is aiming to break the previous year’s record. And for this, preparations are underway to prepare the huge laddu weighing 40 quintals.
