4 classmates arrested in Bengaluru Odia student kidnap case

In a shocking incident, four classmates of the victim have been arrested for kidnapping an Odia student in Bengaluru. The four college students are from Bihar, Jharkhand, Kerala, and Bengaluru. They are currently in custody.

It has been learned that they were committing such crimes to live a luxurious life. They would kidnap their fellow classmates/students and demand money from their family members. After receiving the money, they would release the kidnapped student.

According to information, a few days ago, four students of an University in Bengaluru allegedly kidnapped an Odia student at gunpoint, using a fake gun. Later, they called his family and demanded money.

Initially, they asked for Rs 50,000 to release the said Odia student, Mohanty. After receiving this phone call, the friends and family of the student first sent Rs 10,000. Later, they grew suspicious and filed a complaint at the police station.

After receiving the complaint and learning about the incident, the police used mobile location tracking to find the accused and rescued the victim.

The police have arrested the four accused and seized a fake gun, knife, and car used in the crime. During the investigation, it was found that the four accused were habitual criminals, working as a gang, and had threatened several students.
