12 jawans on the way to training camp critical in road accident in Angul

Angul: In a shocking incident, as many as 12 jawans were critically injured in a road accident early this morning. The jawans were travelling in a mini bus (Traveller) when the driver rammed into a truck.

The road incident happened near the Mundadhipa sahi under Angul Jarapada police station limits. The vehicle was carrying the jawans of the 2nd battalion of Odisha Special Armed Police (OSAP) when the road accident occurred.

The jawans were enroute from Jharsuguda towards Bhubaneswar. They were going to the Chandaka training camp in Bhubaneswar. There were around 14 jawans in the vehicle. Out of them 12 have sustained critical injuries and five have been shifted to SCB medical college and treatment.
