10 Girl Students Injured as Passenger Bus Collides with School Bus in Cuttack

Cuttack: In a concerning incident this morning, at least ten girl students were injured when a passenger bus collided with a private school bus at Khannagar Square in Cuttack, Odisha. The school bus, transporting students from Shakti Junior College, was struck by the passenger bus, causing injuries to the students on board.
According to reports, around 10 girls sustained injuries in the collision, with four students suffering serious injuries. Local residents nearby quickly responded, rescuing the injured students from the bus and providing initial aid.
In the aftermath of the collision, the driver of the passenger bus attempted to flee the scene. However, he was apprehended by bystanders who had witnessed the incident. Eyewitnesses reported that the driver appeared intoxicated, stumbling and visibly impaired.
Several passersby recounted that they rushed to the site upon hearing a loud crash and found the passenger bus had crashed into the school bus. Responding to the cries for help from the students, they acted swiftly to rescue them. They also managed to detain the driver, preventing his escape.
