Twin Cities Experience Pleasant Drizzles

Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: The ongoing Kalabaisakhi in Odisha that tormented Mayurbhanj and Northern Odisha has turned pleasant for the Twin cities. Drizzles of rain were experienced in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack on Saturday morning.

The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack experienced drizzles and the weather has remained cold. As an impact of the Kalabaisakhi, temperature dropped 3 to 5 degrees Celsius in just three days as rain was experienced in twin cities. The temperature will soar high from March 25 onwards informed the MeT department. The intensity of rain increased around 12.00 pm in Bhubaneswar.

Similarly an orange warning was issued to 12 districts for rainfall alert. Wind to blow at a speed of 50 to 60 kmph in these districts. Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore and Bhadrak are among the districts that have received rainfall alert.

Seven to 11 cm rainfall is expected along with thunder and lightning. Yellow warning has been issued to 18 districts for thunder and lightning by the regional center of Indian Meteorological Department. The windspeed is likely to remain at 40 to 50 kmph. Kalabaisakhi is likely to torment the state upto March 24.
