Teen Age Girl Drowned in Pond

Sonepur (Pramit Pramathes): A teenage girl drowned while plucking flowers from a pond at Charda in Subarnapur district today. The perished is identified as Priyanaka Thanapati.

Reportedly, the 18-year-old girl went to a nearby pond to take bath in the early morning. While bathing, she went into deep water to pluck lotus flower and later drowned.

A few locals who were also there in the pond tried to rescue her but failed. They later called up fire brigade, who reached the spot and fished out the dead body.
