Sunabesha & Raja Rajeswar Besha of Living Trinity today

Bhubaneswar: Today marks the Sunabesha of Lord Jagannath and His Siblings at the Srimandir. On the occasion of Vijaya Dashami, Swatantra Nitikant is being performed in the temple.

On this day, Vijaya Dashami is celebrated as the victory of truth over evil because Maa Durga killed Mahishasur.

Chaturdig Vedas, mantras, conch shells and bells are being chanted from various Shakti Peethas and puja mandapas. Yesterday, Dashami Puja of Jagatjanani Maa Durga was performed in Shakti Peethas, while Dashami Puja has started in the mandaps today.

In this order, Vijaya Dashami rituals will also be performed in the temple. Mahabahu will give darshan to the devotees in the divine Sunabesha or Rajarajesware Besha.

The Lords will be adorned with golden ornaments such as Kiriti, Chul, Chandraika, Adkani, Chandrasurya, Sribhuja, Sripayar and Ghagada Mali.

After the morning arati, Majra Puja is performed, Mahaprabhu will assume Ayyapadha. After the Abakash Niti, the Suna Besha of Srijiu will be held in the temple.

Thousands of devotees will gather at the temple today to see the Suna Besha of Mahaprabhu. Keeping this in mind, elaborate arrangements have been made by the administration. It is believed that seeing this rare Besha of Mahaprabhu gives one infinite crores of merit. The police and district administration have made elaborate preparations to ensure that the Bhasana festival of all the cows will be held peacefully tomorrow.
