Six-Planet Alignment at Bhubaneswar Planetarium

Bhubaneswar: Skygazers have a rare opportunity to witness the alignment of six planets in the night sky at the Pathani Samanta Planetarium in Bhubaneswar. The celestial event will be visible from today, January 21, to January 31.

This unique alignment features Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus. While four of the planets—Mars, Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn—can be observed with the naked eye, telescopes and binoculars will be provided to help viewers see Neptune and Uranus.

The planetarium, managed by the Department of Science & Technology, has arranged special viewing sessions daily from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, excluding Mondays. Astronomy enthusiasts are invited to take advantage of this rare astronomical phenomenon.
