Plus-Two Girl Found Dead in Alleged Suicide at Bhubaneswar Government Quarters

Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, a Plus-Two girl student was found dead in an alleged case of suicide at a government quarters in the Unit-6 area of Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

According to sources, the deceased was discovered hanging with a rope inside the rented quarters where she had been residing with her elder sister. The girl hailed from Pathuria village in Jagatsinghpur district.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the incident took place when her elder sister had gone out. Upon returning, she found the door locked from inside and, after entering, discovered her sister hanging.

Soon after receiving information, Capital Police reached the spot and began an investigation. The body was later sent to Capital Hospital for post-mortem examination.

As of now, no statement has been issued by the victim’s family. Police said that a detailed probe is underway to determine the exact circumstances leading to the incident.
