Mohan Majhi laid foundation stone of Rs 1101 crore worth project

Nuapada: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday visited Nuapada and laid foundation stone for projects worth about Rs 1101 crore. On this occasion he also declared Khariar Road NAC as a municipality.
As per information, addressing a public meeting held at the Mini Stadium of Nuapada today Chief Minister Mohan Majhi declared Komna and Sinapali as NACs. He also declared Khariar Road NAC as a municipality. There had been a demand for declaring Sinapali as a NAC.
The CM laid foundation stone for projects worth about Rs 1101 crore. Out of that 802 crore was announced for irrigation in Nuapada, other welfare projects worth Rs 75 crore also announced.
On this occasion, he stated that the central government is committed to supporting the state government in the development of Nuapada.
“There is immense potential for growth and development in Nuapada, and the people here are known for their hard work,” he said. This was his third visit to Nuapada, and he expressed optimism about the region’s future.
He highlighted that various projects have been launched to boost industrial development in the area.
“I am taking personal responsibility for overseeing the irrigation system in Nuapada,” he added.
A significant investment of Rs. 802 crore 90 lakhs will be made in the irrigation system to ensure better water management and agricultural productivity.
He also mentioned that work on the Nuapada-Thirubally railway project is currently underway, which will further enhance connectivity and facilitate economic growth in the region.
