Mining Conference Starts in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: The 3rd Mining Ministers’ Conference commenced today at Konark, Puri district, Odisha. This two-day conference, organized in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Mines and the Odisha Government, will run until tomorrow.
Ministers from 16 mining-rich states, including Odisha, are attending the conference. Various key topics related to the mining sector will be discussed, such as the mining tenement system module, new start-ups, and the handover of GM and GER.
Representatives from the participating states have already arrived at Bhubaneswar airport. They are expected to share their insights for the development of the mining sector while learning from Odisha’s mining strategies.
Chhattisgarh’s Health Minister has announced that the state will present its geological report at the conference today. Notably, Chhattisgarh has become the first state to tender for lithium mining, setting a significant example for other states in the mining industry.
