Man Crushed to Death by Hyva Truck in Puri District

Pipili: In a tragic accident, a man lost his life after being run over by a Hyva truck in Puri district’s Balipatna area on Saturday. The incident occurred in front of the Revenue Inspector (RI) office at Aitalanga.

The deceased has been identified as Daitari Ojha, a carpenter from Sutan village in the Konark area.

According to reports, Ojha was riding as a pillion passenger on a Scooty. While overtaking the Hyva truck, the rider lost control of the vehicle, causing Ojha to fall onto the road. Tragically, he was crushed under the wheels of the truck.

Ojha was returning home after completing his work when the accident occurred. The rider of the Scooty reportedly escaped without serious injury.

Local authorities arrived at the scene and have launched an investigation into the incident.
