Kendrapara: Man Dead, Father-Son Duo Critical After Suffocating in Well

Kendrapara: A labourer died and a father-son duo were left critically ill after all three suffocated while cleaning a well in Manpurpatana village under Aul police limits on Tuesday morning.

According to locals, the three workers were hired to clean a well owned by Sukanta Parida. One worker entered the well first to begin cleaning. Within minutes he collapsed and lost consciousness, apparently due to lack of oxygen. Seeing him in distress, the other two workers went down to rescue him. Both also fainted inside the well.

Villagers and fire services personnel rushed to the spot and pulled all three out. They were immediately taken to the Community Health Centre in Aul, where doctors declared one worker dead. The other two, a father and his son, were shifted to Kendrapara District Headquarters Hospital in critical condition.
