IFS Officer Sanath Kumar N. Appointed Director of Nandankanan Biological Park

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has effected a reshuffle in key forest and wildlife positions, appointing Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Sanath Kumar N. as the new Director of Nandankanan Biological Park.

Sanath Kumar, who was earlier serving as the Deputy Director of the park, has now been elevated to lead one of the state’s premier zoological and conservation institutions.

As per orders issued by the Additional Secretary to the Government on behalf of the Governor, the outgoing Director of Nandankanan has been assigned additional responsibilities as Member Secretary of the State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) and Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife).

Meanwhile, IFS officer G. Rajesh will continue to hold the additional charge of Project Director, Odisha Forestry Sector Development Project (OFSDP) at Ghatikia in Bhubaneswar.

The administrative changes are aimed at strengthening leadership across wildlife conservation and environmental governance in the state.
