Govt Sanctions Rs. 10 Crore to Advocates Welfare Fund

Bhubaneswar: Government of Odisha has sanctioned Rs 10 Crore to Odisha Advocates Welfare Fund for Death-cum-retirement benefits said reports on Saturday.

According to reports the letter read, “Sanction of funds for “State Contribution to Odisha Advocates Welfare Fund, 2024-25″ during the year 2024 – 2025. I am directed to convey the sanction of the Governor to an expenditure of Rs. 100000000 (Ten Crore Only) as per the statement enclosed at Annexure-I for State Contribution to Advocates Welfare Fund, 2024-25 during the year 2024-2025.”

“The charge is debitable to Demand Number for Law Department-2014-Administrstion Of Justice Other E expenditure, Other Expenses, Contribution to Odisha Advocates Welfare Fund in the budget estimate for the year 2024-2025.”

The letter further read, “No diversion of funds from one primary unit to other shall be made without prior approval of Law Department.  The Drawing and Disbursing officer (DDO) and the Drawing Treasury for the funds sanctioned herein shall be as per the details mentioned earlier. The Financial Rules, Procedures and formalities should be strictly followed while incurring expenditure. This has been concurred in by Law.”
