Gold and Cash Stolen in Balasore Kali Puja Robbery
Balasore: In a daring burglary, miscreants broke into the home of Sanjeev Kumar Behera in Podasula village, Nilagiri block, and stole gold jewelry worth approximately Rs 15 lakh and Rs 40,000 in cash on Monday night. Behera and his family were attending the Kali Puja fair when the robbery took place.
According to reports, Behera, his wife, and son returned from the fair to find their house’s lock broken and the almirah ransacked, with valuable gold items and cash missing.
The incident has left residents concerned, with fears rising that thieves are exploiting the festive season to target homes left empty during celebrations. Police have been alerted, and an investigation is underway to trace the culprits and recover the stolen items.
