CM Launches ‘Odisha Yatri’ Ride Booking App for Safe, Affordable Travel

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi launched the ‘Odisha Yatri’ app today, the state’s very own ride booking platform, during the state-level celebration of National Road Safety Month-2025 in Bhubaneswar.

The initiative aims to provide safe, affordable, and convenient cab and auto services to the people of Odisha. The app, developed by the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT), will offer a variety of services, including Non-AC and AC mini cabs, sedans, and XL cabs. In the future, it plans to expand its services to include inter-city rides, rentals, and scheduled services.

Odisha Yatri will also cater to special needs, providing disability-friendly vehicles, pet-friendly trips, and extra luggage accommodations, making it an inclusive platform for all.

The app will operate on a Zero Commission Model, allowing drivers to retain 100% of their earnings, promoting transparency and ensuring higher income for drivers. Passengers will benefit from fair, transparent pricing and the convenience of accessing various transportation options in one place.

The platform is designed to empower drivers while offering eco-friendly, sustainable transport solutions. It will also enhance last-mile connectivity and improve the livelihoods of thousands of drivers across the state.

Safety remains a top priority for Odisha Yatri, with collaboration from local police and transport authorities to implement robust safety measures, ensuring a secure travel experience for all users.
