CJI Inaugurates National Judicial Museum
New Delhi: Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud inaugurated the National Judicial Museum and Archive (NJMA) at the Supreme Court, a project that took over a year and a half of planning and six months for execution. The event was attended by other Supreme Court judges.
Speaking to ANI, Chief Justice Chandrachud emphasized that the museum aims to be not just a collection of artifacts, but a world-class institution that reflects the significance of the judiciary in India. He stated, “This museum showcases the importance of our courts in delivering justice and protecting the fundamental rights of citizens.”
The CJI expressed pride in dedicating the museum to the nation, hoping it would serve as an interactive space for future generations to understand the role of the judiciary in India’s democracy. The museum is set to become a symbol of the nation’s legal history and judicial legacy.
