Central Range Checks 1,939 Vehicles, Collects ₹9.27 Lakh

The Central Range Police carried out an extensive naka and patrolling drive across seven districts on 23 November 2025, during which 1,939 vehicles were inspected as part of ongoing traffic enforcement efforts. The operation resulted in the collection of ₹9,27,034 in fines from various violations detected throughout the day.

Puri district reported the highest number of vehicle checks, with officers inspecting 555 vehicles and collecting ₹2,06,500 in fines. Khordha, although conducting only 115 checks, recorded the maximum fine amount of ₹5,34,034, indicating stricter enforcement and higher-value violations in the district.

Nayagarh district showed the most active photographic documentation, sharing 76 photos as part of evidence-based enforcement. Other districts such as Jajpur, Cuttack, Kendrapara, and Jagatsinghpur also contributed to the overall checks and fine collection, though with fewer photos shared.

Officials stated that these drives are part of a continuous effort to strengthen road safety, reduce traffic violations, and ensure public compliance across the Central Range. The operations are expected to continue in the coming days with similar intensity.
