BJP slams BJD meeting DMK leaders

Bhubaneswar: the BJP on Tuesday slammed the Biju Janata Dal over its meeting with some DMK leaders over the delimitation issue.
“Some political parties of the INDI alliance in the country are spreading falsehoods about the delimitation, creating confusion in the minds of the people by making controversial statements, it said.
The delimitation process will strengthen the democracy of the country. While the entire country is in favor of delimitation, the ruling party of Tamil Nadu, DMK, is trying to take forward its ever-divisive agenda, BJP leader Anil Biswal said in a statement.
“Now the Biju Janata Dal is also joining this, which proves that the Biju Janata Dal is still not free from the Tamil grip. After losing the 2024 assembly elections, the BJD-Congress-led INDIA group is now facing a dilemma,” said Biswal.
He criticised Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik for meeting the DMK leaders and said that Naveen Babu finds it difficult to attend Assembly proceedings but has been meeting a minister and an MP from the ruling DMK party of Tamil Nadu proving that he is still not free from the Tamil grip,” he added.
He said parties like the DMK have always gone against the national mainstream.
