Balasore: 1 Arrested in Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary

Balasore: A poacher was apprehended while his accomplice escaped during a scuffle with forest guards in the Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary in Balasore district, Odisha, on Sunday night.
The arrested poacher has been identified as Madha Singh of Jampada area, while his uncle, another poacher, managed to flee the scene.
According to reports, a four-member team of Forest Guards and the Green Force team had been tracking the poachers since 3 pm yesterday after receiving a tip-off. The teams encountered the poachers late at night in the Gudikhania area under Santaragadia Forest Beat, leading to a surprise attack by the poachers with guns.
During the ensuing scuffle, one of the poachers was overpowered and arrested. The forest guards seized a gun, torch, knife, ammunition, and two bags containing hunting equipment from the poachers. Unfortunately, a forest guard sustained critical injuries during the altercation.
