Pope Francis passes away at the age of 88

Vatican City: In a tragic piece of news, Pope Francis breathed his last on Monday at the age of 88 at his residence in the Vatican’s Casa Santa Marta said the Vatican.

The Catholic News Service Rome informed, “Pope Francis died this morning at 7:35 am. The announcement was made by Cardinal Farrell, camerlengo of the Holy Roman Church.”

The death of the Pope was reported by Vatican News on its microblogging site.
