Bhadrak Administration Bars Leave for Officials Amid Law and Order Concerns

Bhadrak: In view of past incidents of communal tensions and law and order issues, the Bhadrak district administration has directed officials and employees to refrain from taking leave from March 14 to 16.

In an official letter, Bhadrak Collector and District Magistrate Dilip Routrai stressed that the absence of key officials, particularly those responsible for maintaining law and order, could hamper response efforts.

The directive highlights the increased possibility of unruly youth gatherings during Holi, which may escalate into tense situations on the streets.

All officials have been instructed to remain at their headquarters during the specified period. In cases of extreme necessity, prior approval from the Collector is mandatory for availing leave.
