Battery Explosion Sparks Fire at Baramunda Bus Stand Ticket Counter

Bhubaneswar: A fire broke out at a ticket booking counter at Baramunda Bus Stand in Bhubaneswar on Friday morning after a battery explosion, causing damage to computers and other equipment.

The fire erupted at a counter handling ticket reservations for Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, and Vijayawada. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

“There was a battery inside the counter that exploded, leading to the fire. Although we managed to douse the flames quickly, the blast damaged our computers,” a staff member said.

Upon receiving the information, Fire Services personnel rushed to the scene and brought the situation under control. Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion.
