Gold Chain Looters’ Gang Busted in Capital; 4 Held

Bhubaneswar: A gold chain looters’ gang known in the name ‘Surat Gang’ was busted in the capital city of Odisha. Commissionerate Police have nabbed four members of this infamous gang. As many as 8 costly gold chains have been seized from their possession.

The main accused in the case is Subash Pradhan. He is the gang leader. There is a murder case pending in the Court in Surat in his name. As per reports, this gang had committed several gold chain snatching crimes in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack in the last two months. The gang is involved in as many as nine cases of gold chain snatching.

Subash and his aide Amit were selling these looted gold chains and were enjoying the money by buying new dresses, shoes, bike etc. They were also consuming costly alcohol and spending enjoyable moments in hotels with this money.
