27 Personalities to Receive Pravasi Bharatiya Samman at PBD 2025

Bhubaneswar: A total of 27 distinguished personalities will be honored with the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman during the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) celebrations, scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar from January 8 to 10, 2025.

The awards will be presented by President Draupadi Murmu on the final day of the three-day event, which will take place at Janata Maidan in the capital city of Odisha.

In addition to President Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also slated to attend the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, marking the significance of the occasion.

In preparation for the event, the Twin City Police have introduced several initiatives to ensure safety and assistance for attendees, including a Special Police Mascot “Hapfy”, a 24/7 helpline number (1965), a Chatbot (+91-8280707346), and a volunteer group “Pravasi Mitra”. Additionally, a Special Tourist Police force has been set up for the event’s duration.
