15 foot long python rescued in Subarnapur

Sonepur: A giant python has been rescued in Subarnapur district of Odisha on Wednesday. The huge reptile was rescued near a banyan tree in the Hikudi Chhaka area on the Sonepur-Sambalpur road.

As per information, initially a group of youths spotted the huge python that was hiding under a banyan tree near Hikudi chhaka on the Sonepur-Sambalpur road.

The snake did not harm anyone but remained there.

When the news spread, the villagers went crazy. The Sonepur forest department staff was immediately informed.

After getting information, the forest department staff reached the spot with the snake catchers and rescued the huge snake. Upon observation the snake was found to be 15 feet long.

The forest department took the python with them. Later, the officials released the snake at a lonely place in the dense forest of Metakani into its natural habitat.
